[School] Quantum Autumn School 2026

 

Overview

The Quantum Autumn School 2026 (QAS2026) brings together researchers, students, and industry professionals to explore cutting-edge developments in quantum computing. This 3-day event offers a unique combination of theoretical foundations and practical experience emphasising the integration with High Performance Computing, featuring expert-led sessions that cover a range of topics from theoretical foundations to practical applications. This year is introduced for the first time lectures and practice on quantum cryptography.

Who is this school for?

This school is intended for anyone interested in get started with quantum computing. There is no need for knowing quantum mechanics beforehand but, of course this might help. The aim of the school is going from the basic foundations of quantum computing to the applications that are currently under active research, giving a wide overview of the field. No specific package will be utilized and many concepts will be built from the scratch.

Any professional interested in the potential applications of quantum computing in their field is encouraged to participate.

Prerequisites

In order to follow the lectures the participants are expected to:

  • Have a working knowledge of linear algebra.

  • Familiarity with Python programming.
