SUMMARY:Practical Introduction to GPU Programming (Webinar)
DESCRIPTION:Register here\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this webinar\n\n\n\nGraphical processing units (GPUs) are the workhorse of many high performance computing (HPC) systems around the world. The number of GPU-enabled supercomputers on the Top500 has been steadily increasing in recent years and this trend is expected to continue. Programming GPUs and other accelerators is thus crucial for developers to run software on HPC systems. \n\n\n\nHowever\, the landscape of GPU hardware\, software and programming environments is complicated. Multiple vendors compete in the high-end GPU market\, with each vendor providing its own software stack and development toolkits. Even beyond that\, there is a proliferation of tools\, languages and frameworks that can be used to write code for GPUs. It can thus be difficult for individual developers and project owners to know how to navigate this landscape and select the most appropriate GPU programming framework based on the requirements of a given project and the features provided by existing code. \n\n\n\nThis webinar is meant to help both software developers and decision makers navigate the GPU programming landscape and make more informed decisions on which languages or frameworks to learn and use for their projects. \n\n\n\nWho is this webinar for?\n\n\n\nThis webinar is most relevant to early career researchers and engineers who already develop software which runs on CPUs in workstations or supercomputers\, but also to decision makers or project leaders who don’t write code but have a managerial role in software projects\, whether it’s in academia\, industry or the public sector. \n\n\n\nKey takeaways\n\n\n\nBy the end of this webinar\, the participants will: \n\n\n\n\nunderstand why and when to use GPUs\n\n\n\nunderstand the fundamentals of GPU architecture\n\n\n\nget introduced to key concepts in GPU programming models\n\n\n\nacquire a comprehensive overview of different software frameworks\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMore events & contact\n\n\n\nCheck out more upcoming events from ENCCS and our European network at https://enccs.se/events. \n\n\n\nFor questions regarding this workshop or general questions about ENNCS training events\, please contact training@enccs.se \n\n\n\nSchedules can change!\n\n\n\nTo ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate\, we kindly request that you let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend an event after registering. \n\n\n\nPlease send us an email at training@enccs.se to cancel your attendance. \n\n\n\nWe understand things can change\, but repeated cancellations without notice may unfortunately result in your name being removed from future event registration lists. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegulations\n\n\n\nDue to EuroCC2 regulations\, we CAN NOT ACCEPT generic or private email addresses. Please use your official university or company email address for registration. \n\n\n\nThis training is for users who live and work in the European Union or a country associated with Horizon 2020. SUMMARY:What are the AI Factories? (Webinar)
DESCRIPTION:Register here!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the webinar\n\n\n\nAI Factories are a new mega-project of the European Union and the world’s largest public investment in Artificial Intelligence. But what does this mean in practice? \n\n\n\nAI Factory hubs will form a network of “one-stop shops” that provide startups\, SMEs\, and researchers with low-threshold access to AI-optimised supercomputers\, technical expertise\, and training. A key focus here is ensuring AI trustworthiness\, making cutting-edge AI both powerful and responsible. \n\n\n\nFollowing the selection of the first seven AI Factories by EuroHPC Joint Undertaking in 2024 (Sweden included)\, six more were announced on 12 March 2025. These centres will enable breakthrough research and real-world applications\, supporting industries such as healthcare\, energy\, and climate. \n\n\n\nIn this webinar\, our speakers will walk you through the core concept behind AI Factories and their role in Europe’s AI strategy\, as well as services\, synergies with existing HPC/AI initiatives like EuroCC\, the infrastructure\, jobs\, and opportunities these new hubs will bring. \n\n\n\nAfter short talks\, we invite you to join the Q&A session and ask everything you want to know. Don’t miss this chance to learn how AI Factories will shape the future of AI in Europe! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMore events & contact\n\n\n\nCheck out more upcoming events from ENCCS and our European network at https://enccs.se/events\, as well as our lessons\, suitable also for self-learning. \n\n\n\nFor questions regarding this workshop or general questions about ENNCS training events\, please contact training@enccs.se \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegulations\n\n\n\nDue to EuroCC2 regulations\, we CAN NOT ACCEPT generic or private email addresses.
