24 November – 4 December 2020
This course is focused on some of the ways to optimise and parallel scientific Python codes, encompassing subjects such as performance analysis, efficient use of scientific libraries (e.g. NumPy), extending Python to use more efficient languages (e.g. Cython) to carry out multi-processing using threads and the Message Passing Interface (MPI) on HPC systems.
7-11 December 2020
The course will cover basic aspects of GPU architectures and programming. Focus is on the usage of the parallel programming language CUDA-C which allows maximum control of NVIDIA GPU hardware.
26-27 January 2021
The objective of this course is to give an overview of the COMPSs programming model, which is able to exploit the inherent concurrency of sequential applications and execute them in a transparent manner to the application developer in distributed computing platform.
