“Daniel has a multidisciplinary background spanning Geophysics and Computer Science. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where his research focused on the convergence between traditional High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems and warehouse-scale cloud architectures. Before transitioning to computing, Daniel spent nearly eight years as a researcher at the Geological Survey of Brazil, where he specialized in the acquisition, processing, and interpretation of geophysical data.

His role at ENCCS bridges advanced computing capabilities and industrial innovation, helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) leverage supercomputing through the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking. His efforts are focused on transforming complex technologies into actionable, data-driven insights that accelerate innovation and sustainability.

Daniel is passionate about enabling others through knowledge-sharing and has delivered numerous talks and training sessions in his field of expertise. His combined experience in geosciences and computing allows him to work across disciplines to solve technically challenging and societally relevant problems.”
