Research Software Engineer and Consultant for Climate modelling
Qiang obtained his Ph.D. in fluid mechanics at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). During his study, he was heavily involved in developing the in-house computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code for massively-parallelled supercomputers. Since 2013, he has been working as a scientific programmer at Stockholm University, developing the European consortium climate model EC-Earth for paleo studies.
This project has received funding from the European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 951732. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and its associated countries .
