Thor Wikfeldt is the director of ENCCS, the Swedish competence centre in High Performance Computing (HPC) as part of the EuroCC network.

After obtaining his Ph.D. degree in physics from Stockholm University, Thor worked as a post-doctoral researcher at University College London and the University of Iceland before returning to Stockholm University as a researcher.

He then worked for several years as an application expert at the PDC Center for High-Performance Computing at KTH where he also served as deputy project manager of the CodeRefinery project. Thor has extensive HPC experience both as an academic user and in advanced user support and training.
