Wei obtained his Ph.D. in material science and engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). After 2016, he worked as Postdoc researcher at Uppsala University and KTH.
Besides his material science research, he is heavily involved in developing and maintaining an in-house Density Functional Theory code, EMTO. Wei was mainly focused on parallelization and optimization and implementing full potential extension to the EMTO code.
