On the 1st September 2020 EuroCC National Competence Center Sweden (ENCCS) kick-started its activities. ENCCS team consists of seven members from Uppsala University and seven members from RISE. The mission of ENCCS is to:
- Support European and particularly Swedish software packages to continue to be competitive on the international arena, by enabling them on future generation HPC systems and upcoming new technologies.
- Increase HPC usage awareness of Swedish user groups both in industry (especially SMEs) and academia to enable them to use (pre) exascale systems such as LUMI.
- Organise both general HPC ( specifically GPU), AI and HPDA related training as well as assist the most demanding AI users in utilizing the large international resources.
- Serve as a focal points for knowledge transfer between industry and academia.
The vision of ENCCS is to become a single reference and contact point, a know-how hub for HPC for industry, academia and public administration.
