ENCCS Kick-start

On the 1st September 2020 EuroCC National Competence Center Sweden (ENCCS) kick-started its activities. ENCCS team consists of seven members from Uppsala University and seven members from RISE. The mission of ENCCS is to:

  1. Support European and particularly Swedish software packages to continue to be competitive on the international arena, by enabling them on future generation HPC systems and upcoming new technologies.
  2. Increase HPC usage awareness of Swedish user groups both in industry (especially SMEs) and academia to enable them to use (pre) exascale systems such as LUMI.
  3. Organise both general HPC ( specifically GPU), AI and HPDA related training as well as assist the most demanding AI users in utilizing the large international resources.
  4. Serve as a focal points for knowledge transfer between industry and academia.

The vision of ENCCS  is to become a single reference and contact point, a know-how hub for HPC for industry, academia and public administration.
