Why does the Royal Library of Sweden need HPC? [Video]

The Royal Library of Sweden (Kungliga Biblioteket) has mainly been a research infrastructure for the humanities with the largest archive in Sweden regarding text, audio and also video records.

KBLab is a national research infrastructure for digital humanities and social science based in the Royal Library of Sweden. The lab provides access to KB’s collections in structured and quantitative form. This makes it possible for researchers both to seek new answers and pose new questions in their research.

The past years KBLab has been working on Swedish natural language processing models (NLP) which have largely been spread into the community, both in academia, industry and public administration. ENCCS has been collaborating with KBLab in order to port their models into large European computing systems.
